Wright calls for 'life' ban

Ian Wright has called for the fan who allegedly racially abused him at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday to be given a life ban from football.

The former Arsenal striker said: "It's a great shame that, even in 2003, an ignorant thug can still abuse anyone.

Particularly, someone who was sitting in the directors' box as a guest of the club and was simply celebrating his son scoring a goal."
