Wright lands Wolves role

12 April 2012

Warrington have appointed former Wakefield and Wigan stand-off Nigel Wright as assistant to head coach James Lowes.

Wright, 34, joins the Wolves from Wakefield where he was in charge of the reserves and assistant alongside Paul Broadbent to John Kear.

"After 12 months at Wakefield, I decided to move on to further my own career," he said. "Warrington is a big club and it's the kind of challenge I need."

After his career was cut short by injury in 1998, Wright spent seven years in Australia, where he coached at local level and with the Penrith Panthers junior sides.
