Zimbabwe pair honoured

Zimbabwe Test players Andy Flower and Henry Olonga have been made honorary life members of the MCC.

The decision to reward the two men who wore black armbands during their country's World Cup matches earlier this year to symbolise the death of democracy in the southern African republic, marked the first day in office of new MCC president Charles Fry.

Meanwhile, England and Surrey batsman Ian Ward has agreed a fouryear deal to join new champions Sussex.
