Tony Hadley has revealed that viewers may see him in a famous I’m A Celebrity shower scene.

The Spandau Ballet singer is heading into the Australian jungle on Sunday and has warned fans that they may see his “budgie”.

Speaking to Christian O’Connell on the Absolute Radio breakfast show he said that his daughter has warned him not to do a shower scene.

“I think the main thing [for her] is, you know, ‘Dad just don’t make a… Yeah, don’t embarrass yourself’ kind of thing,” he said.

“So don’t do a shower scene! That’s the main thing! ‘Don’t do a shower scene, Dad!’”

The singer joked that he is looking for a “lifetime sponsorship in swimwear” after O’Connell said stripping off in the shower may increase his chances of being crowned King of the Jungle.

“You never know?” Hadley said. “They could get to see the old budgie.”

Hadley will set up camp with a roll call of celebrities which includes former Dragon Duncan Bannatyne, ex-Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding, former boxer Chris Eubank, fashion journalist Susannah Constantine, Union J’s George Shelley, X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, footballer Kieron Dyer and Lady Colin Campbell.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here starts on ITV Sunday at 9pm.
