He desperately needs you help!

Radio 1 Breakfast show host Greg James' week has got off to an interesting start, to say the least.

The DJ is currently trapped in an escape room live on air with a mystery six-digit code serving as his only escape.

According to the BBC, there are one million potential code combinations.

Listeners were in fits of laughter as James tried and failed to guess the right code throughout the day and has since requested help from listeners in solving puzzles scattered around the room.

Here’s what we know so far about the breakfast show host’s ordeal:

On Monday morning, the DJ was bundled into the back of a van and taken away from his show.

James hosts the breakfast show from 6:30 in the morning – and it doesn’t look like he’s getting out anytime soon.

What clues have been revealed so far?

To give clues to the code, Greg must complete a series of puzzles located around the escape room.

He's only managed to master one puzzle so far and is still no closer to cracking the code.

Luckily for Greg, viewers have also offered their help with creative suggestions. Here are the highlights so far:

After completing a hangman puzzle of celebrity artists, one listener suggested that all the artists are connected because they have songs related to stars – but what does it all mean?

The wavy wall of doom baffled listeners and although there were some good suggestions, Greg was still left with nothing but empty spaces on the wall.

Fellow DJ Chris Stark went to Greg’s house to look for clues – but none of his suggested combinations worked.

And to top it all off, Greg is still nowhere close to finishing the jigsaw puzzle.

The music box

James was played a two second clip of what he thinks is a mash up of Listen to the Music by The Doobie Brothers, Listen to the Man by George Ezra and Listen by Beyoncé.
