Lady Gaga has announced the name and release date for her new album.

The record will simply be called Joanne – named after her late aunt – and is due out on October 21.

The announcement follows the arrival of new single Perfect Illusion, which debuted on Friday September 9.

The single was produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson with BloodPop.

Other songs confirmed to appear on the album include a title track, Hey Girl, Sinner’s Prayer, and John Wayne. The standard album will include 11 songs, with three more on the deluxe edition.

The record will include features from guests including Florence Welch and Father John Misty.

Joanne is Gaga’s first pop album since 2013’s Artpop, which received a mixed reception from critics and is said to have fallen short of the record label’s sales expectations.

Following Artpop, Gaga released a jazz album with stalwart Tony Bennett, named Cheek to Cheek, in 2014, and took a starring role in the fifth series of Fox’s TV hit American Horror Story.

Gaga marked the arrival of Perfect Illusion with a secret show at London’s Moth Club in the early hours of Saturday September 10, performing the song live and giving an acoustic rendition of Bad Romance.
