Shocking video footage has emerged of teenage girls brawling with teenage boys outside a KFC restaurant in Croydon as horrified shoppers looked on.
The four youths were seen kicking and punching each other next to the entrance to the fast-food shop on London Road on Saturday afternoon (October 24).
One teenage boy is seen punching a girl in the back before a second boy intervenes and begins fighting with the girl himself and the scuffle almost spills into the restaurant.
But the pair then begin wrestling and fall on the floor as fists fly, before a second teenage girl tries to pull them apart.
The first teenage boy then pushes the girl who is trying to calm the fight. Passers-by then step in and attempt to reason with the group, as one boy pulls a girl along the floor by her hair.
The teenagers were eventually separated and moments later were seen walking away from the high street.
A woman speaking on her phone, apparently reporting the fight to police, can be overheard describing it as "just disgusting".
A video of the violent scenes was shared on YouTube last weekend. It had been watched more than 25,000 times by Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police has confirmed it is investigating the fight.
