A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of 20-year old Lewis Elwin in Tooting.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Monday, May 2, on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station, where he remained in custody this morning.
Mr Elwin was stabbed to death in Penwortham Road on Monday, April 18.
Police were called to the scene by the London Ambulance Service just after 3.45pm after Mr Elwin was found in the street suffering from stab injuries.
He died at the scene a short while later, and a post-mortem examination at St George's Hospital Mortuary the day after gave the cause of his death as a stab wound through his back.
Detectives have renewed their appeals for anyone with information about Mr Elwin's death to come forward.
On the day of his death, Mr Elwin had been dropped off in Moyser Road, at the junction with Ribblesdale Road.
He was seen walking in Moyster Road, towards Mitcham Lane, at about 3.30pm, from where he called a friend who he arranged to meet.
Ten minutes later, Lewis was seen jogging along Penwortham Road from the direction of Moyser Road, and was heading towards Thrale Road, where he collapsed.
