Bobbi Kristina Brown died of drug intoxication and drowning, a medical report has confirmed.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office released a statement about the 22-year-old’s death on Friday ahead of the full autopsy report.

Examiners have concluded that the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown died due to ‘immersion associated with drug intoxication.’

The statement reads: “The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication.”

Brown was found unresponsive in the bath of the townhouse she shared with Nick Gordon on January 21 2015.

She spent a number of months in hospital and was later moved to a hospice, where she died on July 26.

The 22-year-old’s superstar mother Houston died in a similar way back in 2012 when she was found face down in a bath at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Her death was ruled an accidental drowning after authorities discovered prescription drugs in her suite and evidence of cocaine in her system.
