Andy Brown has teamed up with his best friend to shoot the music video for his latest solo single, Landslide.

The black and white video shows Brown putting the song together in the recording studio and playing acoustically outside.

The song was inspired by a friend’s encounter with an ex and recorded with Crissie Rhodes from country duo, The Shires.

Speaking to the Standard he said: “It’s about that moment of seeing an ex after such a long time. My writing partner was just going through a break up so we used his experiences in the song.

“It’s a really natural video, my best mate filmed it, it was just me and Crissie from The Shires recording the track in the studio. We had a great laugh and it was great to capture the moment.”

Landslide comes ahead of the release of his debut album, which he is hoping to release in early 2018. Speaking about potential collaborations he said: “I’m loving the US country scene at the moment. It really doesn’t get much airplay over here but it’s fantastic.

“They are unbelievably honest songs that speak to me. I’d love to write a song with Chris Stapleton. He’s one of my favourite artists.”

“I always heard people talking about lack of sleep, but I always thought, how hard can it be? But it turns out they were right. Apparently it doesn’t get any easier either...”
