Katy Perry and a host of Hollywood stars have spoken out in support of Leslie Jones after she fell victim to a racist cyber-attack.

The pop star urged fans not to look at the images posted to the Ghostbusters star’s Tumblr page, which was hacked by vile trolls on Wednesday.

“Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I #StandWithLeslie,” she told her followers.

Questlove Gomez wrote on his account: “These acts against leslie jones….are sickening. its racist & sexist. it’s disgusting. this is hate crimes. this aint ‘kids joshing round.

Jones, 48, who has suffered racist abuse on her Twitter account in the past, was forced to delete her Tumblr account after hackers published personal information and photos taken from her iCloud account.

As well as posting shots of her passport and driving licence, hackers reportedly shared explicit images of the star.

On Wednesday Jones’ site was also updated with a video of gorilla Harambe in what appeared to be a racist insult.

Pictures of Jones alongside stars including Rihanna, Kanye West and Kim Kardashain are also thought to have been taken from her personal account.

The comedian and actress briefly left Twitter back in July after facing a deluge of racist comments following the release of Ghostbusters.

She wrote: “I'm so tired of it. Why is this still a fight? I want to hate so bad but I can't because I know it doesn't fix anything and just make me sad.”
