Taylor Swift to follow in Kim Kardashian's footsteps with mobile app
Taylor Swift will follow in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian to launch her own mobile game.
The US pop superstar is teaming up with Glu Mobile to put her name to "a new, one-of-a-kind digital gaming experience."
Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO announced the partnership on Wednesday, saying the company is “thrilled” to welcome Swift.
“Bringing with her over 227 million social followers* I am thrilled to welcome Taylor Swift, an award-winning singer, musician and songwriter, to Glu's family,” she said in a statement. “We realise that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience.

"Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor's unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved."
Glu Mobile is the same company behind Kardashian's hit app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
The app has generated close to $127m of revenues since its release in June 2014.
Glu Mobile are also planning apps based on singers Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj and TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
Swift's app is slated for global release later this year.
