Adel Taarabt in talks over QPR future

Adel Taarabt has admitted he doesn’t know if he will stay at Queens Park Rangers and help them win promotion next season.

It is believed manager Harry Redknapp wants the Morocco international to remain at Loftus Road, especially as he played a key role in the club winning promotion from the Championship in 2011.

But Taarabt won’t commit just yet and will announce his decision at the end of the month after he has held talks with club officials.

The 23-year-old said: “I do not know if I will leave QPR. I will speak to the club if they still want to keep me. There was interest in January. In the next three weeks my future will be clear.”

Meanwhile, Redknapp today admitted QPR have lacked the quality to compete in the Premier League.

He said: “I don’t neccessarily think the players lacked commitment — I think some lacked quality. We’re where we are because we lack ability.”
