How Thiago Silva, Mason Mount and Jorginho celebrated Chelsea FC’s win over Atletico Madrid on Instagram

Chelsea on Wednesday night recorded a huge win over Atletico Madrid to reach the Champions League quarter-finals, and for the first time in a while the stands were not completely empty.

That is thanks to Chelsea's biggest cheerleaders on the night: Thiago Silva, Mason Mount and Jorginho. The defender remains sidelined through injury, while the two midfielders were serving one-match suspensions for picking up yellow cards.

Thomas Tuchel is still without defeat since replacing Frank Lampard, a run now stretching to 13 games in all competitions.

The game was not without its tension, which was no more evident on Thiago Silva, who appeared to be kicking every ball along with his team-mates.

When Emerson’s 94th-minute goal went in, confirming Chelsea’s last-eight spot, Silva went wild in the stands and was joined by Mount and Jorginho.

The trio relished the moment long after the final whistle, with Silva’s celebrations being caught on BT Sport (above) and went viral.

All three were tagged in the footage on Instagram into the night, celebrating the moment with fans and their team-mates.
