The future is clearly bright for Chelsea's legion of academy stars - with the Under-18s squad securing a mammoth 13-0 win over Brighton on Saturday.
The U18s team hosted Brighton's youth team at their training ground in Cobham this morning, and went on to earn a huge 13-0 victory thanks to four goals from forward Charlie Brown - who only came on for the final 30 minutes - a hat-trick each from Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Luke McCormick and further goals from Harvey St Clair, Conor Gallagher and full-back Cole Dasilva.
The remarkable result comes just a week after Chelsea's U18s won their third straight Premier League South title following a 3-0 victory over Leicester City.
Meanwhile, Chelsea's development squad - featuring Ola Aina, Charly Musonda and Trevoh Chalobah - are currently playing Manchester City in their Premier League 2 encounter at Aldershot.
Chelsea first-team coach Antonio Conte yesterday admitted Musonda may get his chance to play for the senior side in the coming weeks despite not making his squad for the FA Cup fifth-round tie with Wolves today.
Conte said: "Charly Musonda is not in the squad, he’s working very hard and very well in training and he’s having supplementary work with the physical coach.
"Tomorrow he will play with the Under-23s against Man City. Now I think it’s better for him to play a whole game and stay with us.
"In the next games if he deserves to come with us I’m open to that eventuality."
