Harry Redknapp feels other Premier League clubs will be interested in Tim Sherwood if the Tottenham manager leaves White Hart Lane this summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is planning to replace Sherwood (left) at the end of the season. The 45-year-old is resigned to his departure, with Holland coach Louis van Gaal and Southampton’s Mauricio Pochettino emerging as candidates to take over.

Sherwood, who is likely to reject an offer of a different role at Spurs under a new manager, is one of the contenders to take over at West Brom if they sack Pepe Mel and QPR boss Redknapp believes he will be in demand if he leaves Spurs.

Redknapp, who gave Sherwood his first chance in coaching when he took him to Spurs in 2008, said: “Of course other clubs will want him. Tim has done a good job at Tottenham but it seems he is not going to be there next year.

“It is a funny-old situation. No one has come out and said he is not leaving. I like Tim and I hope he does well. I have got a lot of time for him. He tells it as it is, he is not a bulls*****r.”
