Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola insisted there was no cause for concern amid reports of a bust-up between his coaching staff and Chelsea coaches on Wednesday night.
Stewards allegedly had to separate staff from both sides, including Chelsea coach Paulo Bertelli and City masseur Mark Sertori, in the aftermath of Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Guardiola’s side at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was in the changing room at the time but said any incident in the tunnel was “not important” and his counterpart at Manchester City also looked to play down reports of a bust-up.
Asked about the incident, Guardiola said: "Come on. Nothing (serious). We congratulate Chelsea for the victory.
"We are so polite in our defeats and especially we are so polite when we win, especially that."
The Stamford Bridge tunnel is far from spacious and has been likened to a bottle-neck, with Guardiola noting: "The tunnel at Chelsea is so tight, so tight."
