Chelsea are facing late competition from Manchester City for Real Madrid right back Danilo.

The Blues have yet to agree a fee for the Brazil international and have refused to meet the £30.8million asking price so far.

Manchester City have already bought Kyle Walker from Tottenham for £50m, but are looking for another full back after missing out on Dani Alves to Paris St Germain.

Conte has earmarked the 26-year-old to provide competition for Victor Moses after his bid to sign Alex Sandro hit a wall after AC Milan made the shock signing of Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.

The transfer means Juve are unlikely to also allow Sandro to leave.

Danilo, who can play as a right- and left-back, has made 55 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving from Porto in 2015.
