Andy Carroll is expected to shake off a groin injury and feature in West Ham’s home game against West Brom on Saturday.
The England striker battled through groin pain through an hour of last week’s 3-1 win at Southampton, finishing superbly in the 14th minute to draw Slaven Bilic’s side level.
Carroll has struggled with a groin problem for much of 2017 but the injury-prone striker has managed two months in which he has missed only one match.
West Ham’s head of medical and sports science Stijn Vandenbroucke confirmed that Carroll’s fitness would be closely monitored in the coming days but he is expected to play his part as Slaven Bilic’s side look to build on their impressive win at St Mary’s.
Carroll’s performance will likely be keenly followed by Gareth Southgate, though West Ham are yet to receive a request from the Football Association for the England manager to attend the game.
However if the 28-year-old can continue the form that has seen him net four in four games he will be a strong contender when Southgate names his squad for a friendly in Germany on March 22.

Vandenbroucke also confirmed that Sam Byram, Havard Nordtveit and Alvaro Arbeloa had returned to full training, swelling Bilic’s options at right-back, where he was forced to deploy Cheikhou Kouyate on Saturday.
Byram’s absence had been “a precaution, having only recently returned from a long-term hamstring surgery and rehabilitation period”.
Left-back Arthur Masuaku is due back in training on Friday but Diafra Sakho may not return from back surgery until early April.
