Wolves have been promoted to the Premier League as a late Brentford goal denied Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Nuno Espirito Santo's Wolves needed just one win to guarantee promotion from the Championship following their midweek win against Derby.

An Aleksandar Mitrovic goal looked to be sending Fulham towards yet another win in Saturday's late kick-off against Brentford at Craven Cottage, but Neal Maupay's 94th-minute equaliser put a huge dent in the Cottagers' hopes of automatic qualification.

Fulham had started the day in second place, but two late goals from Cardiff saw the Bluebirds beat Norwich 2-0 away from home to take control of the battle for second place.

Fulham are guaranteed of a place in the playoffs withy 82 points, but now trail Cardiff by a point having played a game more than Neil Warnock's men.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side will now need Cardiff to slip up in at least two of their three remaining games in order to pip them to second.
