New hope as Watford end bad run

13 April 2012

Graham Taylor has warned his players not to ease up against Burnley after ending a run of six games without a victory.

Watford are one place off the First Division's play-off zone after their early-season form deserted them but the 4-1 win against Norwich brought new hope to their campaign.

Taylor said: "We've got to put our foot on the pedal and play with a lot of enthusiasm. Then all of a sudden people start thinking differently. If we can have two successive wins then that will give us a tremendous lift for the remainder of the games."

Defender Robert Page is expected to return to Watford's line-up after missing the win over Norwich through suspension.

Dutchman Nordin Wooter is struggling to shake off an ankle injury and Steve Palmer (hamstring) and Micah Hyde (chickenpox) are also doubtful.
